Redis and Memcached. This page covers 2 activity types.

memcached_cache#

Memcached Cache. Interact with a Memcached cache: get, set, add, replace, delete, and check existence

Operations: get, set, add, replace, delete, exists, increment, decrement. Set with the operation input.

Input Type Required Description
key string Yes Cache key — supports {{template}} interpolation
host string No Memcached server host (default: localhost)
port number No Memcached server port (default: 11211)
value string Yes Value to store (set/add/replace operations) Used when operation is set, add, replace.
ttlSeconds number No Time-to-live in seconds (set/add/replace operations) Used when operation is set, add, replace, increment, decrement.
by number No Amount to increment or decrement by (default: 1) Used when operation is increment, decrement.
defaultValue string No Value to return when key does not exist (get operation) Used when operation is increment, decrement.
Output Type Description
output.value string Retrieved value (get operation)
output.exists boolean Whether the key exists
output.success boolean Whether the operation succeeded

Config block example:

json
{
  "memcached_cache": {
    "operation": "get"
  }
}

redis_cache#

Redis Cache. Interact with a Redis cache: get, set, delete, check existence, manage expiry, increment, and decrement values

Operations: get, set, delete, exists, flush, expire, increment, decrement. Set with the operation input.

Input Type Required Description
connectionString string Yes Redis connection string (e.g. localhost:6379,ssl=false) Secret: stored encrypted.
key string Yes Cache key — supports {{template}} interpolation Used when operation is get, set, delete, exists, expire, increment, decrement.
value string Yes Value to store (set/increment/decrement operations) Used when operation is set.
ttlSeconds number No Time-to-live in seconds (set/expire operations) Used when operation is set, expire.
db number No Redis database index (default: 0)
by number No Amount to increment or decrement by (default: 1) Used when operation is increment, decrement.
Output Type Description
output.value string Retrieved value (get operation)
output.exists boolean Whether the key exists (exists operation)
output.success boolean Whether the operation succeeded
output.newValue number New value after increment/decrement

Config block example:

json
{
  "redis_cache": {
    "operation": "get"
  }
}
