Supported data sources
The relational, NoSQL, API, file, cloud and vector sources Kiwi Fabric can federate.
The --type and --subtype values you pass to kiwi fabric source-add select the handler. Availability depends on which handler packages are installed with your deployment, and some sources are read-only. Confirm the exact list for your installation with your Kiwify Labs contact.
Relational (--type Rdbms)#
SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP HANA, Informix, Firebird, SQLite and Microsoft Access. Table capabilities support filter, projection and paging pushdown and, optionally, writes with automatic compensation.
NoSQL (--type NoSql)#
MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, Couchbase and Redis.
APIs and services#
- REST (
--type Rest): any JSON-over-HTTP API, with configurable endpoints, headers, response mapping and authentication (none, Bearer, Basic, API key). - SOAP (
--type Soap): template-driven request generation with Basic auth and custom headers. No WSDL proxy is required.
Files and cloud storage (--type File, --type Cloud)#
Upload files to Kiwi Fabric's managed storage with kiwi fabric file-upload (formats: CSV, TSV, JSON, Parquet, Excel, Delta, Iceberg), or reference cloud object stores such as Amazon S3 and Azure Blob Storage, and make them queryable by name.
Vector stores (--type VectorDb)#
Qdrant, for semantic search, using a vector configuration on the capability (embedding model, distance metric and collection).
Custom sources#
Any source can be added by implementing the data-source handler interface, with an additional write handler if it takes part in sagas.
